As WHO Regional Advisor for Emergency Response and Operations, Caroline has supported 14 countries and territories in the Middle East region in responding to health emergencies, including in Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Libya and Somalia. With a decade of experience with the International Committee of the Red Cross, she has assisted conflict-affected populations, coordinating large-scale relief operations in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
While working for the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health, Caroline was responsible for the national strategy on rare diseases and was a Member State delegate to the WHO.
