Asist. Univ. Dr. Alexandru Florin Rogobete

Asist. Univ. Dr. Alexandru Florin Rogobete holds the position of Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health of Romania and is an assistant professor at the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Victor Babes" in Timisoara.

His extensive experience in medicine is complemented by significant contributions in research and public health policy, underlining his continuous dedication to the improvement of the Romanian healthcare system.

Raluca Painter

Previously, Raluca worked for 13 years in banking and financial services policy at Directorate General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (DG FISMA) of the European Commission. She held important roles, including Deputy and Acting Head of the Communication Unit in DG FISMA, working on the Banking Union, a key policy that helped restore financial stability after the financial crisis by establishing a new institutional architecture for the management of euro area banks.

She was also team leader for the Capital Markets Union initiative.

Raluca Painter is a lawyer, member of the Paris Bar, and joined the European Commission in February 2008. In addition to her professional achievements, she is known for her commitment to promoting innovation and equity in health and social services.

Professor Alon Wolf, PhD

Professor Alon Wolf is a renowned expert in the field of biomedical engineering and robotics, currently serving as Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.

He is also founder and director of Biorobotics and Biomechanics Laboratory (BRML) at the Technion, where he has led the development of ground-breaking innovations, including 'snake' robots used for urban rescue and minimally invasive surgical procedures.

His laboratory at Technion has been internationally recognized and has been visited by world leaders, including US President Barack Obama and French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who were impressed by the advanced technologies developed here.

Professor Wolf is co-founder of MedRoboticsa medical technology company that has developed the Flex Robotic System, a snake robot for surgery. This system allows surgeons to access previously inaccessible areas of the body through minimally invasive methods, using a flexible mechanism that becomes rigid at the site of surgery. It has received FDA approval and is recognized for significantly reducing post-operative recovery time.

In addition, Professor Wolf was Vice President for External Relations and Resource Development at the Technion and is also a professor at Bologna Business School. He is also active in promoting STEM education, leading initiatives such as FIRST Robotics Israel.

Dr. Michal Guindy

Moshe Dunie

Moshe Dunie is a technology and innovation leaderwith an impressive career in the IT industry and extensive experience in product management and technology development. Rui Gomes

Rui Gomes is Director of the Information Systems Department at the University Hospital of Coimbra, Portugal, where he plays a key role in the management and development of the IT infrastructure to improve healthcare services. He has a strong educational background, holding an advanced degree in Electrical Engineering - Informatics from the University of Coimbra and a Master's degree in Medical Informatics from the Faculty of Medicine of Porto.

In addition to his role at the hospital, Rui is also an academic, teaching Health Information Systems at ISCAC Coimbra Business School and ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics and Management.

He is also a highly regarded lecturer in IT and Health Informatics, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and best practices in these fields.

Professor Rafael Beyar, PhD

Professor Rafael Beyar is an internationally renowned Israeli physician, researcher and entrepreneur, known for his innovative contributions in interventional cardiology and medical imaging, as well as for his leadership role in the development of advanced medical technologies.

Former Director General of Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, Professor Beyar was instrumental in transforming it into a world-class center of excellence and innovation.

Professor Beyar has pioneered the development of advanced imaging techniques and minimally invasive interventions in cardiology, making significant contributions in the field of angioplasty and cardiac stents.

He has also been involved in the research and development of new technologies for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, including the use of robots in catheterization procedures.

As an entrepreneur, Professor Beyar has founded and co-founded several medical technology companies that have had a significant impact on the global market. These include Corindus Vascular Roboticsa company that developed a robotic system for vascular catheterization procedures to improve the accuracy and safety of cardiac interventions. Professor Raphael Beyar is also the co-founder and principal partner of Alive Israel HealthTech Fund, a $300 million seed investment fund dedicated to supporting and developing Israeli health technology companies. Prof. Univ. Dr. Michael Halberthal

Prof. Univ. Dr. Michael Halberthal is a renowned physician and hospital manager who serves as General Director of Rambam Medical Center in HaifaIsrael. Dr. Dorin Comaniciu

Dean Kamen

Dean Kamen is a American inventor and entrepreneur entrepreneur known for his revolutionary contributions to medical technology. He invented the insulin pumpwhich radically changed the way patients manage diabetes, and portable dialysis device HomeChoicewhich significantly improved the lives of those with kidney failure.

In 2017, Kamen founded Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI) and launched BioFabUSA, an $80 million innovation institute funded by the US Department of Defense.

BioFabUSA's mission is to enable the large-scale production of tissues and tissue-related technologies to benefit existing industries and stimulate the development of new sectors. In addition to funding from the DoD, Kamen was able to bring together a consortium of private sector entities, forming a public-private partnership that has committed an additional $214 million dollars.

In 2020, ARMI received a grant from the Department of Health and Human Services to establish the first Foundry for American Biotechnology, known as NextFab. It aims to produce technology solutions that help the United States protect against health security threats, improve everyday health care, and contribute to the American bioeconomy.

Dean Kamen is also the founder and CEO of DEKA Research & Development Corporationwhere he leads the development of innovative technologies for the medical and military sectors. He also founded the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) organization, which promotes STEM education, inspiring young people to pursue careers in science and engineering.

Professor Aaron CIECHANOVER, PhD

Aaron Ciechanover is a Romanian-born Israeli biochemist and winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistryfor his discovery of the mechanism of protein degradation by ubiquitin, a process essential in regulating the cell cycle and other critical biological processes. Ciechanover was born in Haifa into a Jewish family originally from Romania.

His scientific contributions have had a profound impact on our understanding of cell biology and the development of new medical treatments.

Currently, Professor Aaron Ciechanover is professor emeritus at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, and directs Rappaport Medical Research Institute.

Prof. Univ. Dr. Alexandru Rafila

Prof. Univ. Dr. Alexandru Rafila is a renowned specialist in microbiology and public health, with an extensive academic career at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" in Bucharest. Conf. Univ. Dr. Diana Păun

Conf. Univ. Dr. Diana Păun is a Presidential Advisor for Public Health and a primary endocrinologist, graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" in Bucharest. Her expertise includes teaching positions at the same university and management roles at the National Institute of Endocrinology "C.I.Parhon".

In addition to clinical work, Conf. Univ. Dr. Diana Păun has been involved in numerous research and educational projects, contributing to the advancement of public health policies. She has published papers in peer-reviewed journals and was appointed Presidential Advisor in 2019, after serving as State Counselor since 2015.

Dan Cîmpean

Dan Cimpean is Director General at CERT-RO and a recognized expert in cyber security. His career includes extensive experience at Deloitte Belgium, focusing on cyber risks for European institutions. Prof. Dr. Leonard Azamfirei

Prof. Univ. Dr. Leonard Azamfirei is the rector of the "George Emil Palade" University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology in Târgu Mureș, with an impressive academic and medical career.
